Creating a VFS - NEW! πŸš€

To create a new Virtual File System, click on Setup β†’ Virtual File System β†’ New VFS button and fill in these fields in the New Virtual File System window:

NAME (*) Assign a name to the VFS you are creating.
DESCRIPTION (*) Enter a description of the VFS you are creating - so everybody knows what is must be used for.
STORAGE CLASS (*) Select a Storage Class.

RETENTION CLASS (*) Select a Retention Class.
Wondering what a Retention Class does? Put simply, it defines how long files must be kept in PRIMEUR Data One. Wanna know more? Read here.
Assign to ActorSelect the Actor that will have access to the VFS by clicking the ADD button. If nothing is specified, the VFS will be assigned to the Company.
Assign to GroupSelect a Group of users that will access the VFS by clicking the ADD button. Access to the VFS and visibility of the VFS can be managed according to the permissions of the group itself.
LIMITS ABOUT FOLDERS AND FILES
MAX FOLDERSSet the maximum number of folders that can be defined in the VFS.
0=unlimited.
This value is applied only to the VFS being created or edited and overwrites the value configured at global level in the Limits panel.
MAX NESTED LEVELSSet the maximum depth of nested sub-folders that can be defined in the VFS.
0 = unlimited.
1 = new folders can only be created under the VFS root folder and they will not have sub-folders.
2 = new folders created under the VFS root folder can have only one level of sub-folders.
Etc.
This value is applied only to the VFS being created or edited and overwrites the value configured at global level in the Limits panel.
MAX TOTAL FILE COUNT πŸš€Set the maximum number of files contained in the VFS. The total is obtained from the sum of the number of files contained in each Virtual Path of the VFS.
MAX TOTAL FILE SIZE πŸš€Set the maximum size for the sum of the sizes of all the files contained in the VFS. Possible units of measurement are: KB, MB, GB and TB.
Enable ACL Define if the Virtual File System and the Virtual Paths will be open to all users and groups or not. Possible options:
- OFF (default): ACLs are disabled and all users and groups can access the VFS without restrictions.
- ON: ACLs are enabled and access to specific users and groups must be granted at a later stage.
This setting is forever and ever! Once set, it can no longer be modified!!!

Press Save to create the VFS. It will appear in the result list together with the other existing VFS - if any - sorted by Name or by Actor.
Click the VFS name to open the VFS created and configure its options.
