Getting started
Primeur Data Watcher monitors business flows, i.e. the transfer of information between nodes or actors, and shows what has happened during the flow lifecycle.
Each monitored node shows:
- If and how information is received from a source node
- Any processing
- If and how information is sent to other recipients’ nodes
Using Primeur Data Watcher, expected flows can be configured to:
- Detail how a flow must be processed
- Set time constraints, i.e. by when the flow is expected to occur
Once a flow is modeled, events that occurred can be verified. To give some examples:
- In case of transfer of information to a destination that has not been modeled, security and/or privacy violations can be identified
- Possible delays can be verified
Your journey through Data Watcher should start by setting up Administrator and Simple Users. You can learn how to do so in this page.
Once you have done, you are ready to start designing your flows! Head over to the Dataflow Modeler section of these docs to read about how Dataflows can be enriched.
You are now ready to start monitoring the flows you have designed. You can do so by going over to the Dataflow Board page. Do you also need to monitor cut-offs? Here is the link for Data Watcher's Cut-off Board.
Now that everything is under control, you might also need to run searches through your flows. Searches can be run in the Dataflow Inquiry section of Data Watcher. Follow the link to learn all about it.
Are you an Administrator? Then you might need to know how to use these two sections:
- the Cut-off Calendars card, where Administrators can define the calendar that will be shown when configuring a cut-off
and
- the Dataflow Attributes card, where Administrators can configure the Attributes that the user will select when modeling a flow.
