Users tab ๐
The Users tab lists all users configured for the selected actor.
You can add users to the actor in two ways:
by clicking NEW to create a brandโnew user
by clicking BIND to associate an existing Data Mover user with the actor.
The results list can be navigated with the toolbar.
Create a new user and associate it with an actor
Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
Click the NEW button.
In the New user window, fill in the following fields:
Name: first name of the user.
Surname: last name of the user.
Email: user's email address.
Groups: one or more groups the user will belong to.
Username (*): username the user will use to log in. ๐ Note: Usernames to be associated with Connection Contracts on Connect:Direct servers may include the @ character. This convention is helpful when identical usernames are used on different Connect:Direct remote nodes, as it allows you to distinguish which user is linked to each node.
Password / Confirm password (*): password the user will use to log in. See the Setting the password policy page for details.
Enabled / Disabled: defines whether the user is active in the system. In the results list, active users are easily identifiable by the
icon displayed next to their username.
Click CREATE to confirm and associate the new user with the actor.
Associate an existing user with the actor
Click BIND.
In the Bind User section of the window, search for the username you want to associate with the Actor. Type at least 3 characters, note that the field is case-insensitive. All users matching the entered characters will be listed.
Double-click the username you want to associate with the Actor.
Click BIND USER to confirm the association.
For more information on user management, refer to the Users & Groups section.
User menu options
The 3โdot icon next to each user provides the following options:
Unassign from Actor: removes the user from the selected actor. The user remains available in Data Mover but is no longer associated with this specific actor.
Unbind from repository: completely removes the association between the user and the Data Mover repository. After unbinding, the user is no longer available for association with any actor unless recreated or reimported.
Disable: disables the user account. A disabled user cannot log in or perform any actions until reโenabled.
Edit: opens the user details so you can modify fields such as name, surname, email, groups, or login credentials.
Delete: permanently deletes the user from the system. Deleted users cannot be recovered and will be removed from all associated actors.
Filters panel
Users can be filtered using the Filters panel.

The search field is caseโinsensitive.
You can run a search even by typing a single character (letter or number).
