Create your first actor
Follow these steps to create a new actor:
Go to the Actors page and click the NEW button.
In the New Actor window, select the Partner or Application option according to your needs: a. Partner applies to organizations that can send/receive to/from Data Mover. b. Application applies to applications that send/receive to/from Data Mover.
In the Name edit box, enter a name for the actor. This field is mandatory. Note that blanks are not allowed.
Optionally enter a Description for the actor you are creating.
Optionally select the Group your actor is part of.
Optionally upload an image that will appear associated with the actor. Supported formats are: .jpg, .jpeg, .png and .svg.
Press Create to confirm.
The newly created Partner or Application will be added to the list of results.
Remember that for each actor, the 3-dot icon allows you to:
Edit the actor's details and manage users, groups, VFS, file resources, connection contracts and client connections. Refer to the Configuring an actor page for details.
Delete the actor.
Access the Actor Lineage feature, which is under separate license. Refer to the Actor Lineage page for details.
