Defining an ICAP rule

When multiple jobs are running at the same time, it may be necessary to limit the number of ICAP parallel scans. To do so, we must define a specific File Transfer Rule.
To create a new Rule, got to Setup → File Transfer Rules and click the NEW RULE button in the top right corner. The New Rule dialog box will appear.
Select the Create your rule option.
In the NEW RULE window, assign a name to the rule in the Rule name field. Use the name ICAP server to easily recognize it among other rules.
Then, you can set the limit of concurrent ICAP scans in the edit box on the right. If you set the limit to 0 no scans will be performed.
Now, you can select the conditions in the drop-down lists on the left and the attribute on the right. To properly configure an ICAP rule, you must set these conditions and attributes:
Direction
Outbound
Role
Client
Cluster Name
Select the Cluster onto which you want to limit ICAP scans
You will also need to add two new conditions to the rule by clicking the Add condition button:
Destination
ICAP
Protocol
CMD
On the right of the window, use the WHEN section to define the time interval when the Rule will be applied.
Once you have defined all the attributes for your ICAP rule, click Save. Your Rule is now visible on the results list.
