Client Connections Tab

The Client Connections tab is used to configure the Actors that Data Mover interacts with when operating as a client, i.e. when it connects to actors to either retrieve or send files.

As a client, Data Mover is responsible for initiating requests to fetch or deliver data, managing all aspects of file transfers to ensure they happen smoothly, and ensuring data accessibility when required.

Different protocol types are supported.

  • Open protocols: FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, PeSIT, SMB, POP3 IMAP, and SMTP.

  • Primeur native protocols: PR4/PR4S, PR5 and PR5S.

  • Cloud connectors: HDFS, HDFSS, Amazon S3, Google Storage, and Azure Blob Storage.

  • Third-party connector: IBM Sterling Connect:Direct.

For detailed information about Client Connections, refer to the Client Connection page in the Transfer Protocols and Connectors section.
