Configure a virtual file system
Once the VFS has been created, you can proceed with its configuration to make it usable within Data Mover.
To access the configuration area, click the 3βdot menu in the VFS results list and select Edit.
The Virtual File System details page opens with useful information on its top bar:

The top bar displays:
VFS Name and Description
Partner
Storage Class
Retention Class
ACL status, indicated by the padlock icon:
Open padlock β ACL unmanaged: all users and groups can access the VFS
Closed padlock β ACL managed: access is restricted and must be assigned
To update the Description, Storage Class, Retention Class, Partner, or Group, click the pencil icon in the header.
ACL settings cannot be modified after the VFS is created.
Configuration of a VFS typically involves two main steps:
Setting access permissions through ACLs.
Defining the folder structure by adding virtual paths.
