Job statuses

The lifecycle of a job is represented by a series of statuses that reflect the different phases of workflow execution.

• Submitted: shows jobs that have been created and added to a queue but have not yet started execution.

• Suspended: shows jobs that have been suspended by Data Mover and can be resumed manually.

• Running: shows jobs that are currently being executed.

• Completed: shows jobs that have successfully completed all workflow steps.

• Error: shows jobs that encountered an error during execution (e.g., a failed step or service task).

• Aborted: shows jobs that were manually stopped.

Job statuses and relevant actions

Submitted

The job has been created and placed in the queue, waiting to be started.

Running

The job is running. Data Mover is processing the steps.

Restart the job from the beginning	Abort and Resubmit

Completed

The job has successfully completed all workflow steps.

Error

An error occurred during execution (a step or service task failed).

Permanently cancel the job	Abort

Aborted

The job was manually interrupted.

Suspended

The job has been temporarily suspended by Data Mover. It can be resumed manually.
