Audit
The Settings → Configurations → Audit section is used to monitor and track changes made to Data Mover Smart.
To set up the audit preferences, complete the following fields:
Audit: enable the generation of an audit for any creation, modification, or deletion of DMS configuration entities. To activate this feature, toggle the setting on the Audit card. The audit captures the following activities related to DMS entities: creation, reading, editing, deletion.
Audit writer-type: choose how the audit data should be stored:
File: if this option is selected, you will need to specify the path for the audit file in the Audit file path field. The system provides a default path, but you are free to modify it as needed.
Database: Alternatively, you can opt to write the audit entries directly to a specific table in the database.
Audit file separator: choose the separator used in the audit file. You can select either: colon (:) or semicolon (;).
Audit record flush: this setting controls the number of rows that are kept in memory before being written:
0: each operation will be flushed immediately, meaning every single operation is recorded as it happens.
Greater than 0: this value defines how many operations can be stored in memory at once before being written to the file or database.
Information about the need of a reboot can be found clicking the icon. To reboot Data Mover Smart, go to Settings → System and click the Restart System button.
