DMS graph

The Dashboard is the main hub of Data Mover Smart, offering an overview of its features and a summary of the current configurations. It includes a chronological list of data transfers, which you can tailor by selecting different time frames through the Period drop-down menu.

The toolbar

The Dashboard toolbar is located at the top left of the screen.

Use the icon to refresh the Dashboard page.

Use the Period drop-down menu to select the period for which you want to view transfers and details about the system. Options are:

  • last 24 hours

  • today

  • this week

  • this month

  • custom: when selecting Custom, the current date will be proposed. Just click the starting or ending date to open the calendar and select a different period. Remember to click the Apply button to set the date.

Use the options at the top right of the screen to view recent transfers, to access logs, to view user actions, and to change language and screen theme preferences.

Click to open a panel listing the transfers executed in the last 24 hours - regardless of the option selected in the Period menu. By clicking the Filters option on the right of the panel, transfers can be filtered by date, protocol, status, ID, and File.

Click the icon to access the log panel.

Click the icon to access the latest actions your user has been involved in.

The chip gives you access to the language and screen theme preferences as well as to the logout option.

The main screen

At the center of the screen, a graph provides a summary of the current configurations and gives quick access to the Data Mover Smart entities.

On the right, transfers occurred in the configured period are shown in the Transfers panel.

The Graph

The graph has these options:

  • DMS: clicking the circle, the DMS panel appears.

  • Links: hovering over the circle, the number of configured enabled and disabled links is shown. Clicking the circle, the Links panel appears.

  • Servers: hovering over the circle, the number of configured online and offline servers is shown. Clicking the circle, the Servers panel appears.

  • VFS: clicking the circle, the VFS panel appears.

  • Rules: hovering over the circle, the number of configured enabled and disabled rules is shown. Clicking the circle, the Rules panel appears.

  • File Event Listeners: hovering over the circle, the number of configured enabled and disabled listeners is shown. Clicking the circle, the File Event Listeners panel appears.

  • Nodes: hovering over the circle, the number of configured enabled and disabled nodes is shown. Clicking the circle, the Nodes panel appears, listing the nodes configured on the PR4 protocol.

The Transfers panel

The Transfers panel appears when selecting the Dashboard option on the menu of the left-side of the screen or when refreshing the Dashboard clicking the refresh icon on the top-left of the screen.

If you are viewing another panel and want to get back to the Transfers panel, press the ESC keyboard key.

The panel lists recent file transfers, including details such as timestamps, file name, protocol, and status. Moreover, the icon on the right opens a further panel with the details about the transfer and an Export button allowing you to export the details of transfers as an HTML or PDF file.

At the top of the panel, 3 icons allow you to:

  • refresh the list

  • open the Filters window and filter results by status, protocol, mode, direction, file, destination path, and username

  • expand or reduce the Transfer panel

The 3 icons at the top of the list can also be used to filter results by running, error, and completed transfers respectively.

Clicking the icon on the top right, the panel will be expanded.
