Creating Virtual Boxes

You can create Virtual Boxes in Data Mover using two methods:

1. From the Contract Action:

   • In the contract action, expand the Select VirtualBox list.

   • Scroll to the bottom and select New VirtualBox. The New VirtualBox window will appear.

   • Enter the Name and optionally a Description for your Virtual Box.

   • Click Create. The Virtual Box will be created and automatically inserted into the Select VirtualBox field without requiring additional clicks.

2. From Setup → Virtual Boxes:

   • Click New. The New VirtualBox window will appear.

   • Enter the Name and optionally a Description for your Virtual Box.

   • Click Create. The Virtual Box will be created and added to the list of existing Virtual Boxes.

In Setup → Virtual Boxes you can sort Virtual Boxes in ascending or descending order by clicking the Modified header.

Use the Filters panel on the right to search Virtual Boxes by name.

The toolbar at the top allows you to:

• Scroll through results

• Set the number of items displayed per page

• Refresh the list
