Credentials

The Credentials tab is where the administrator configures the users to connect to the defined plugins. For example, the Data Watcher credential is used in the Panorama's system plugin, the Data One credential is used in the Data One infrastructure, and so on.

The only type of authentication currently available is Basic Auth.

The username configured here will appear in the Credential drop-down list of the System window.

To add a credential, you must have administration privileges.

Click the + on the empty card and fill in the fields in the Credential configuration window:

  • Auth type (*): Select Basic Auth authentication. This field is required.

  • Name (*): Specify the name of the credential, e.g. DataWatcher. This field is required. The username configured here will be loaded in the Credential drop-down list of the System window.

  • Description: If you want to add more context or notes about the credential, use this optional field and add a description of the credential.

  • User (*) and Password (*): Specify the username and the password of the user who will connect to the system. E.g., enter the username and password of the user connecting to Data Watcher or to Data One. These fields are required.

Click Save to apply the current credential configuration to the system.
