Events

The Settings → Configurations → Events section is used to configure the sending of events to an external system, such as Data Watcher.

The events sent are based on activities performed on Data Mover Smart.

Data Watcher events emitter

To configure the connection to Data Watcher, fill in these fields:

• Data Watcher events emitter: enable this option to send events to Data Watcher. If you disable the option, the configuration will remain listed for future purposes.

• Data Watcher url: enter the base URL and port of your Data Watcher installation. E.g., https://www.yourdataWatcher.com:port.

• Data Watcher user: enter the username of the user having the admin role. You can leave this field empty and use the Data Watcher credential field below.

• Data Watcher password: enter the password of the user having the admin role. You can leave this field empty and use the Data Watcher credential field below.

• Data Watcher credential (optional): select a credential configured in Settings → Security → Credentials. Note that the credential must already exist, you cannot create a new credential on the Events section.

Once done, a restart of Data Mover Smart is required to activate the connection to Data Watcher.
