Upgrading Data Mover Smart

To upgrade Data Mover Smart to a new version, follow these steps:

1. Download the new package of the installer.

2. Extract the new installer package in the <installer_folder>.

3. Copy the Data Mover Smart package into the <installer_folder>/repo.

4. Run the <installer_folder>/setup script:

   1. For Linux: ./setup.sh

   2. For Windows: .\setup.bat

5. Choose option 1 to start the installation.

6. The installer identifies the latest version of the Data Mover Smart in the repository. If it is higher than the installed version, the installer upgrades the software. When asked "Do you want to install this version?" answer y.

7. When asked "Do you want to start the application after the installation?" answer y or N as needed.

Once the upgrade procedure is complete, verify the success by accessing Data Mover Smart. Visit the following URL, and log in with either the "admin" user or a custom user:

<protocol>:<host>:<port>/dms/

Click the logo on the left and in the stand-alone window check that the Version is the one you have installed.
