Configuration steps

DWAgent configuration consists of distinct configuration steps:

  1. Configuring DWA Communicator to connect DWAgent to Data Watcher.

  2. Configuring zero, one or more DWA Emitter instances to perform event detection for the FT/MFT middleware systems that must be interfaced.

  3. Configuring zero, one or more DWA Proxies to perform legacy event forwarding.

The Default Port for control operations like DWAgent shutdown is configured in the dwagent.udpPort parameter of the DWAHOME/config/dwagent.properties file.

dwagent.udpPort=7891

Whenever a configuration (possibly a partial configuration) is consistent, you can validate it by running an installation verification procedure (IVP) by issuing the following command:

dwagent.sh -ivp
