Define users

Data One users access Panorama by logging in with their personal credentials. By default, they are assigned the Guest user role upon entry.

Users can only come from the Data One installation that is connected to Data Watcher.

🚧

Important note:

New users cannot be directly created within Panorama itself.

The first time a user authenticates in Panorama with the Data One username and password, this information is stored in a tab in the Setup > Users tab with the default role Guest, which has read-only permissions.

To change the default Guest role to one of the roles available, the administrator will follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Setup > Users tab and open the User’s profile card
  2. Assign a different role, granting the user more specific access or administrative privileges beyond the default Guest role. This process ensures that user roles can be dynamically managed based on operational needs, while maintaining security and access control within Panorama.

Roles are created in the Setup > Roles tab described in the Set roles section.

In addition to the username and password, the User’s profile window has an email field where the administrator can enter the email address to which the user will receive exported files.

From the same window, the administrator can also view each user's dashboards and the cards in each dashboard. The administrator can delete individual cards or the user's entire dashboard by clicking the Delete button.
