# Manage users

The **Users** page allows administrators to view, create, manage, filter user accounts configured in Panorama.

### Users list

The central table displays all configured users and provides the following information for each user:

* **Username**\
 The unique identifier of the user account.
* **First name and Last name**\
 The personal details associated with the user account, if defined.
* **Origin**\
 Indicates the source of the user account:
 * **Local**: user created directly in Panorama.
 * **Primeur**: user originating from Data Watcher or Data One.
* **Type**\
 Specifies the user type:
 * **Internal**: these users are assigned specific permissions and roles that define their capabilities within the system.
 * **External**: permissions and roles cannot be assigned to external users.
* **Email**\
 The email address associated with the user.

Each row also includes a **context menu** (three‑dot icon) that provides access to additional actions for the selected user, such as editing or managing the account (depending on permissions).

### Editing and deleting users

To edit a user (local or Primeur), click the user row and the **Edit** window will open. Apply the modifications needed and click the **Save** button.\
For details about available fields, role assignment, and permissions, see [Create a new local user](/panorama-2.0.1/setup-and-configuration/users-and-roles-setup/manage-users/create-a-new-local-user.md) and the [Manage Primeur users](/panorama-2.0.1/setup-and-configuration/users-and-roles-setup/manage-users/manage-primeur-users.md).

To delete a user (local or Primeur), click the **three-dot menu** next to the user row and select **Delete**.

The **Admin** user **cannot be deleted**. However, the **first name, last name, email address, and password** of the Admin user can be modified.

#### User accounts behavior and synchronization

Panorama does not synchronize credentials back to Data Watcher or Data One.

The following behaviors apply:

* If the **password of a Data Watcher or Data One user is modified in Panorama**, the original password configured in **Data Watcher or Data One remains unchanged**. Panorama does not propagate password changes back to Data Watcher or Data One.
* If a user account is **removed from Data Watcher or Data One**, the user will **no longer be able to log in to Panorama**, even if the user is still listed in the Panorama Users tab.
* If a user account is **created directly in Panorama** (local user), that user **does not appear in Data Watcher** **or Data One** and **cannot log in to Data Watcher or Data One**. Local users are valid only within Panorama.

### Filtering users

The **Filters** panel on the right side of the page allows you to narrow down the list of users.

You can filter users by:

* **First Name**
* **Last Name**
* **Username**
* **Email**
* **Origin**
* **Type**

To apply filters:

1. Enter one or more filter criteria.
2. Click **Apply**.

To reset all filters and display the full users list, click **Clear all**.
