# Overview

The **Business Continuity Playbook** page is the main entry point for managing critical flows within the **Operational Resilience** feature of Panorama.

Access to the Business Continuity Playbook requires the **OPERATIONAL\_RESILIENCE\_MENU** permission, which enables the Operational Resilience area and displays the **Business Continuity Playbook** and **ICT Risk Monitoring** entries in the navigation menu.

It provides a **centralized workspace** where you can:

* View and manage all critical flows
* Enrich business information and define contingency procedures
* Monitor completion status and identify gaps
* Prepare flows for export and business continuity reporting

This page combines **data managed in Panorama** and **data sourced from Data Watcher** into a single operational view.

### Critical flows table

The **Critical flows table** is the core component of the page and provides a structured list of all critical flows allowing you to identify incomplete flows, prioritize high-criticality flows, track progress toward completion (100%), and access actions via the three-dot menu (Open, Export, Audit, Data Watcher sync, Delete).

{% hint style="warning" %}
The **Open** action requires the **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_ADD** permission.

**Export-related** actions require the **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_EXPORT** permission.

The **Delete** action requires the **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_DELETE** permission.
{% endhint %}

Once imported into Panorama, critical flow data is **stored locally in Panorama** and additional business and contingency data can be added.

The Critical flows table includes these columns:

* **Modified:** last update date and time.
* **Critical Flow:** name, description, and completion percentage, which indicates how complete the playbook data is. This percentage is calculated based on the [Completeness criteria](/panorama-2.0.1/operational-resilience/business-continuity-playbook/playbook-settings.md#completeness-criteria) configured in the **Playbook settings** window.
* **Business owner:** responsible for the business process.
* **Technical owner:** responsible for the technical implementation.
* **Criticality level**: level configured in the **Playbook settings** window (Low, Medium, or High).
* **Completion status:** status of each required section. Visual indicators are used to make this immediately understandable:
 * A **green icon** indicates that the section is required and has been correctly completed.
 * A **yellow icon** indicates that the section is required but only partially completed or still missing some information.

### Overview indicators

The top section of the page provides a set of **at-a-glance indicators** that summarize the current status of the **Business Continuity Playbook** and highlight potential gaps.

The available indicators are:

* **Critical flows with edits not exported:** flows that have been modified but whose updates have not yet been included in an export. This is important because the **current Playbook output is not aligned** with the latest updates applied to these flows.
* **Exported critical flows:** flows that have already been exported and are included in the current Playbook output.
* **High criticality flows without contingency procedures:** high-priority flows that are missing defined contingency procedures and may require immediate attention.

Each indicator panel is **clickable**. Clicking on a panel automatically applies a **predefined filter** to the Critical flows table, which is updated to display only the flows matching the selected condition. When a panel is selected, a colored border appears around it to indicate that the filter is active and the results are currently filtered. To remove the predefined filter, click the same panel again.

### Search and filters

The **Search and filters** section allows you to quickly locate and refine the list of critical flows.

Use the **Search Critical flow** field to perform a free-text search based on the flow name or description. The list is dynamically updated as you type, helping you quickly find the relevant entries.

For more advanced filtering, click the **Filter** icon to open the **Filters** panel. This panel provides multiple criteria to narrow down the results, including:

* **Completion status:** filter flows based on their completion level (Less than or equal to 50%, Greater than 50%, 100%).
* **Business owner:** filter flows based on the name of the Business owner. Multiple selections can be applied.
* **Technical owner:** filter flows based on the name of the Technical owner. Multiple selections can be applied.
* **Criticality level:** filter by criticality (Low, Medium, High). Multiple values can be selected simultaneously.

Each filter can be selected from a dropdown menu. Once the desired criteria are set, click **Apply** to update the list accordingly. When one or more filters are applied, the Filter icon changes to to indicate that the view is currently filtered.

Use the **Reset** button to clear all filters and restore the default view.

### Toolbar

The toolbar at the top of the **Business Continuity Playbook** page provides quick access to navigation, configuration, and data management functions for the critical flows table.

On the left side, the toolbar includes **pagination controls**, showing the current range of displayed items and allowing you to move between pages using the **First, Previous, Next,** and **Last** buttons.

Next to the pagination controls, these action icons are available:

* The **settings icon** provides access to display options, choosing among 10 items, 25 items, or 50 items.
* The **refresh icon** allows you to reload the table data, ensuring that the most up-to-date information is displayed.

On the right side of the toolbar, the main action buttons are available:

* The **Export button** allows users to [generate a CSV file](/panorama-2.0.1/operational-resilience/business-continuity-playbook/export-a-playbook.md) containing the current state of all critical flows.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The **Export** button requires the **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_EXPORT** permission.
{% endhint %}

* The **Manage button** opens the [Playbook settings](/panorama-2.0.1/operational-resilience/business-continuity-playbook/playbook-settings.md) window, where completeness criteria and automatic export settings can be configured.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The **Manage** button requires the **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_MANAGE** permission.
{% endhint %}

* The **Add button** opens the [Add critical flows](/panorama-2.0.1/operational-resilience/business-continuity-playbook/add-critical-flows.md) window to create new critical flow entries.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The **Add** button requires the **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_ADD** permission.
{% endhint %}

When accessing the **Business Continuity Playbook** for the first time, no data is available by default.\
To populate the Playbook, you must import one or more modeled flows from **Data Watcher** as described on the [Add critical flows](/panorama-2.0.1/operational-resilience/business-continuity-playbook/add-critical-flows.md) page.
