# Business Continuity Playbook

The **Business Continuity Playbook** is a key component of the **Operational Resilience** feature in Panorama. It provides a centralized framework for identifying, documenting, maintaining, and exporting business continuity information related to critical business flows.

#### What is a critical flow?

A **critical flow** is a business-relevant process based on a **Data Watcher** model and enriched with business continuity information.

Data Watcher models collect information from monitored data integration systems. Within the Business Continuity Playbook, these monitored flows can be designated as critical and supplemented with additional business and operational information, including business context, criticality level, and contingency procedures. This enables organizations to define appropriate measures to maintain business continuity in the event of disruptions.

In this version, only the **Data Mover** data integration system is supported.

The process is illustrated in the following diagram:

#### Benefits

The **Business Continuity Playbook** helps you:

* Identify and manage **critical business flows**
* Assess their **criticality and impact on operations**
* Define **contingency procedures** to handle disruptions
* Maintain **consistent and up-to-date operational documentation**
* Generate **structured and exportable playbooks** for resilience, audit, and compliance purposes

#### Licensing

All Operational Resilience capabilities are available as an add-on and require a dedicated license.

#### Permissions

Access to the Business Continuity Playbook and its features is controlled through dedicated permissions:

* **OPERATIONAL\_RESILIENCE\_MENU:** grants access to the **Operational Resilience** area, including the **Business Continuity Playbook** and **ICT Risk Monitoring** menus.
* **CRITICAL\_FLOW\_MANAGE:** grants access to the **Manage** button and allows users to configure Playbook settings and completeness criteria.
