# Analyze flow size in a given time period

Flow size analysis over a specific period provides a concise and easily accessible summary of key flow size KPIs (minimum, maximum, average, and total file sizes). The result is efficient monitoring, decision-making, and performance optimization.

Let’s take a look at the steps to create a card that helps you analyze flow size during a specific period:

1. Go to the Dashboard and click the **+** button to add a card.
2. In the **Flows** category, select **Flows Total Files Size**. The new card appears in the first available position on the dashboard, after the existing cards.
3. Click the 3-dots button and select **Filter**.
4. In the **Filters** window specify the period for which you want to see the data in the **From - To** fields.<br>

5. Click the **Apply** button.

The card will show data on the size of flows in the selected period.
