# Flow Cards

Flow KPIs provide detailed **analysis and comprehensive insights on dataflows** for the time range configured at the top of the dashboard.

**Flows are counted based on their start date, not their completion date.** 

For example, if a flow begins at 23:55 on December 1 and ends at 00:10 on December 2, it is counted for December 1. 

Similarly, if a file enters the monitored system at 20:00 on December 1 and subsequent actions - such as mediation, availability on SFTP, and multiple downloads over several days - occur later, all these activities are correlated to the same flow that started on December 1, and the flow is counted for that date.
