# Columns exist in a table

### Description

The `Columns exist in a table` action verifies that one or more columns exist in a database table.

### Options

| Option      | Description                                                                                                                        |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Action name | The name of the workflow action.                                                                                                   |
| Connection  | The [Relational Database Connection](/data-shaper-1.21/knowing-the-data-shaper-designer/relational-database-connections.md) to use |
| Schema name | The schema of the table to use                                                                                                     |
| Table name  | The name of the table to use                                                                                                       |
| Columns     | The list of column names to verify (one or more)                                                                                   |

Use the `Browse` buttons to select a database schema or table from the selected connection.

Use the `Get columns` button to retrieve the columns from the selected table.
