# How to hide the New folder option

To hide the **New Folder in \<folder\_name>** option:

1. Go to **Services** → **Servers** and click the HTTP or HTTPS server card where the File Manager is configured.&#x20;
2. Scroll down to the **Applications** section and click the <img src="https://3918079328-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FOfruO8A6QGUeNQH6HXhm%2Fuploads%2FCVBiSUBhEtgcirc1tJNP%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=4e135c01-ed8e-47de-aed0-52347c6ac561" alt="" data-size="line"> icon to open the **Edit Configurations** window.

3. In the **Edit Configurations** window, set the `hideNewFolderBtn` property to `true` (default is `false`).&#x20;
4. Click the **Confirm** button. The server will be restarted.

When done, the **New Folder in Root** option will no longer be visible.
